PRSA National LinkedIn group,for members only, now with nearly 3,000 participants. Many chapters and sections also have groups.
PR QuickStart, a tool that offers free Web-based training for new professionals, created in partnership with the Council of Public Relations Firms and PRSA’s Counselors Academy.
PR Journal, an online publication that showcases original communications research of PRSA members, further extending the industry knowledge base.

Hardship Credit for PRSA Members
Are you a current member of PRSA, have five or more years of membership, and find yourself currently unemployed or disabled? If your membership fees are due, you can receive a one-time $110 credit on this year’s annual dues (nearly a 50 percent discount). PRSA Miami is also waiving the $35 local membership dues for the first 10 qualifying members who reinstate under this plan.
An individual of any age who devotes a substantial portion of time to the paid professional practice of public relations or to the teaching or administration of public relations curriculum in an accredited college or university. Initiation fee: $65 (first year only) Annual dues: $225 Chapter dues: $35
Chapter Membership
Chapter dues are $35. Chapter membership is not offered independent of national membership; individuals are only eligible if PRSA national dues are paid.
Associate Member
An individual may remain an Associate for only two years. Associates may not hold certain elected or appointed positions. Four categories of Associate membership exist. They include:
PRSSA graduates (AMPG). Candidates must be PRSSA members at time of graduation. Membership is granted automatically; no chapter action is required. Membership applications should be sent directly to headquarters.

Individuals in pursuit of advanced degrees in public relations (AMGS). Any individual who is devoting full time to earning a doctorate or master’s degree for the purpose of teaching public relations. Proof of full-time enrollment must be submitted with application.

Less than one year of paid professional experience (AM1).
Initiation fee: waived Annual dues: $115 Chapter dues: $35
Less than two years paid professional experience (AM2).
Initiation fee: waived Annual dues: $155 Chapter dues: $35
Payment Options
A number of payment options exist for individuals interested in membership. Member candidates may initially pay by personal check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). A flexible payment plan is also available for individuals wishing to extend payment of fees.
Renew with the Quarterly Payment Plan
