Get Involved

Getting involved is an excellent way to give back to your profession while interacting and networking with fellow professionals. It can also open doors for new experiences that may not be offered as part of your current job responsibilities. In addition to attending chapter events, there are many ways to increase your involvement in PRSA:

Committee Positions
Headed by board members, committees are formed to support particular events or chapter functions. Current committees include: Accreditation, Awards, College Relations, Directory, Diversity, Endowment, Ethics, Hispanic Market, Media Roundtables, Membership, Midweek Mixers, Professional Development/Programs, Public Service, Publicity, Sponsorships, Web Site.  Time commitments vary by committee. If you are interested in joining a committee, please contact the corresponding co-chairs. Click here to see this year's committee co-chairs.

Board of Directors
As the leadership body of the chapter, board members focus on specific aspects of leading the chapter. Positions include President, President-Elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary, Directors and Assembly Delegates. If you are interested in being considered for a future board position, please contact our current Chapter President Erika Mayor at [email protected].

Solo Pros Network
Consultants, freelancers and solo pros looking for projects and job opportunities will benefit from being a PRSA Miami member and participating in the chapter’s Solo Pros Network. This platform provides the opportunity to connect and network with other independent practitioners. Through this platform you will be included in a Solo Pro database and learn about short and long term projects, industry trends and resources, as well as network and connect with other like-minded professionals. For more information email [email protected]

Guest Speakers
Our chapter is regularly contacted by student groups to provide speakers or panelists on topics relating to public relations and communications. This is a one-time commitment for a specific event.
