Mercedes Soler is the anchor for Realidades en Contexcto (REC) in CNN en Español, a daily live television program geared to Spanish-speaking audience in the United States and Latin America.   REC analyses the day to day global events and their direct influence to our society.
Soler joined CNN en Español in October of 2010 as afternoon show Notimujer’s anchor after having been a reporter, columnist, author, radio commentator, producer and director, in what has been a prolific career of more than two decades. 

During 18 years she served as senior correspondent and anchor for the Spanish-language network Univision, and she has extensively traveled the U.S. and Latin America to cover investigative reports and innumerable news happenings. Throughout her career Soler has interviewed various high-profile figures from all walks of life, counting among them a dozen Latin American presidents, including Arnoldo Aleman and Violeta Chamorro of Nicaragua, Abdalá Bucaram and Gustavo Noboa of Ecuador, Ernesto Samper of Colombia, Alberto Fujimori of Peru, and Miguel de la Madrid of Mexico. Soler has covered a centenary of important global news such as the presidential inaugurations, political conventions, Pope visits, the tragedies of the space shuttle and the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, as well as the funerals of luminaries like Celia Cruz and Maria Felix. Various journalism organizations have rewarded her work, including the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences of North America that has nominated her 15 times for an EMMY award, and has received five. 

Her first book, Entre Nosotras de Mujer a Mujer, a collaborator with 5 other authors, was published in December of 2005. Soler was raised between Havana, Madrid, Las Palmas in the Grand Canaries and Chicago.  In the latter she studied communications, radio, TV and film in Loyola University.

 

Mayela Rosales is Co-Founder/Executive Vice President of Media Vista Group, LLC, the largest Hispanic media company in Southwest Florida whose broadcast properties include Univision and UniMas in Ft. Myers-Naples as well as Azteca America Ft. Myers-Naples.  MVG also owns and operates Univision Minneapolis and Univision Kansas City.  Its holdings include the D’Latinos television program; D'Latinos Magazine, a monthly Spanish language lifestyle publication; and www.dlatinos.com, a Spanish interactive portal. 

Mayela serves on the Boards of many civic and charitable organizations in Southwest Florida including: the  Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation, The Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Youth Haven, The SWFL Chairman’s Board of the American Heart Association and The Fifth Third Bank among others.  She has also supported and served for many years on The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce,  the Boards of The Children’s Museum of Naples, Catholic Charities, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Naples Chapter, Cancer Alliance of Naples, among many others.

Mayela has received numerous personal recognitions.  Among them, April 1st was proclaimed as  “Mayela Rosales Day” by the Mayor of the City of Cape Coral, the Honorable Arnold Kempe, in honor of her civic and charitable contributions to the Hispanic community.  In 2009, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart honored her as one of the 100 Most Influential Latinas in the USA.

  

Alma is no stranger to the music industry. Alma at an early age was proving to the world with her charisma and charm she was going to take this industry to a higher level. As a Sony Entertainment executive, Alma became the face of managing registrations and music licensing for musical composers of the Sony Music Catalog. Soon to be established as the music integrator for Feature Films soundtracks and TV shows, everyone wanted to get a piece of Alma’s power play of persuasion in releasing hit after hit after hit. She then became the assistant program director to Radio Personality Al Fuentes from El Zol 95 which during that time was rated  the #1 Hispanic Radio Station in Miami FL. These skills allowed her to develop and implement promotion strategies while representing record label artist in coordinating events and record play execution for international artists: Juan Luis Guerra, Los Hermanos Rosarios, to Amanda Miguel, just  to name a few. Alma's gift for grind and “gab on air” glorified her creative side to film a life of comedic cruelty within the New York Spanish-language radio producing the award winning feature film "El Vacilón the Movie" released in 2005.

Today, Alma Jiménez is the Executive Producer and On-Air Talent for the most successful long term running morning show in radio history, “The Luis Jimenez Show. A Segment syndicated off Spanish Broadcasting System, "The Luis Jimenez Show" which dethroned Howard Stern from its 1st place spot. In 2007, "The Luis Jiménez Show" was syndicated off of Univision Radio X96.3. #1 show in over 12 leading markets & online in 27 digital radio stations.

Alma is also the CEO & Founder of Alma Entertainment. Public Relations specialist and manager of the elitist Hollywood actors and music performers, and an established event producer. [Comedy, Films, & Sold Out Concert Events.] And the president of Luis Network.  An online and application network by subscription launching in the Fall where she will be producing web content on currents events, comedic sketches, entertainment, and streaming exclusive celebrity interviews.

 

Claudia Solis is a media professional with more than 15 years of experience in journalism, blogging, corporate communications and education.  During almost 12 years she was Managing Editor in Servicio Hispano, the premier product of EFE News that focuses exclusively on U.S. Latinos.

She left her position to pursue her dream to become an entrepreneur and founded Twin Minds Media, a 360° content boutique that is hands-on from the creation of the message, to the selection of the medium and distribution strategy.

Also she founded Mamientransicion.com, a blog for mothers like her who are exploring her voice and find a balance between motherhood, profession and family.

She remains active in journalism, writing for EFE and MSN Latino.

Roberto (Bob) Oliva is Managing Director at O Americas Group.  He is a business development executive with broad experience in all aspects of media, advertising and sales management. Having spent years honing his skills in television (Spanish International Network, NBC and ABC), print (The Tribune Company and The Miami Herald), Radio (The Tichenor Group) and lastly digital (Yupi-MSN), he brings extensive experience in sales development, network consulting and product positioning. .

Bob along with Dan Austin founded The Versailles Breakfast Club (a LinkedIn group). A professional group that meets to discuss the latest trends in all industries which will have an impact in the business segment.
