Biography
Alexandra Medina is the Communications Manager at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, where she manages media relations and publicity for the Center’s Jazz Roots, Theater Up Close, Free Gospel Sundays and Heritage Project series. She also coordinates and oversees all of the Center’s photography needs, curating a collection of photos that not only showcase the Center’s variety of performances and events, but which reflect Miami’s cultural diversity. Alexandra was appointed as Secretary of the PRSA Miami Board of Directors in 2023, and currently co-chairs the chapter’s Diversity and Inclusion and Digital Communications committees.
Before joining the Arsht Center, Alexandra was a community outreach specialist at Media Relations Group, LLC., where she led the execution of various communications plans and awareness campaigns for municipal clients, including the Florida Department of Transportation, MDX and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. She began her career as an assignment editor at Miami’s NBC 6/Telemundo 51, and has also worked as a freelance contributor in the public relations and digital marketing sectors.
Alexandra graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication.
