Since its establishment in 1955, the PRSA Miami chapter has been the pre-eminent public relations and communications organization in Miami-Dade County with an outstanding reputation for the strength of its chapter management and the quality of its programs.

As the voice for public relations and communications industry in our region, PRSA Miami offers public relations professionals the opportunity to learn, network, develop leadership skills, and advance professionally in an atmosphere of good comradeship.  With close to 200 members we are also more diverse than any other PRSA chapter.  We invite you to become an active member of our chapter and learn more about  joining, our  events  and  leadership opportunities.  If you are interested in serving on a committee, please contact us at  President@prsamiami.org.

Mission

To make communications professionals better, smarter and more connected through all the stages of their career.

In all we do, the experiences we provide, the programs we  create for our members, the connections we make from the youngest PRSSA member to our most experienced advanced  professional, our members are always on the top of the dynamic pyramid.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

PRSA Miami is committed to ensuring that the chapter is welcoming body and a relevant resource for all PR practitioners.

The Board and members of PRSA Miami believe that every member is valuable to the chapter and the PRSA organization. We pledge to make this organization as diverse, equitable and inclusive as possible. We honor everyone’s unique background, and vow to not discriminate
against anyone based on the most obvious contexts of diversity include race, ethnicity, religion, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, country of origin, culture and diversity of thought. However, in a rapidly changing society, diversity continues to evolve and can
include class, socioeconomic status, life experiences, learning and working styles, personality types and intellectual traditions and perspectives, in addition to cultural, political, religious and other beliefs.

These defining attributes impact how we approach our work, connect with others and move through the world.

Inclusion, according to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is defined as “the achievement of a work environment in which all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, and can contribute fully to the organization’s success.”

Inclusion is not just about having that “seat at the table” but is about ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and fully considered.

Diversity, equity and inclusion are proactive behaviors.

Respecting, embracing, celebrating and validating those behaviors are integral to PRSA’s DNA. Diversity and inclusion are vital to the success of our profession, our
members and the communities in which we live and work. It is essential and is our responsibility as members of the Society to carry this forward.
