Get Involved

Getting involved is an excellent way to give back to your profession while interacting and networking with fellow professionals. It can also open doors for new experiences that may not be offered as part of your current job responsibilities. In addition to attending chapter events, there are many ways to increase your involvement in PRSA:

Committee Positions

Headed by board members, committees are formed to support particular events or chapter functions. Current committees include: Accreditation, Awards, College Relations, Directory, Diversity, Endowment, Ethics, Hispanic Market, Media Roundtables, Membership, Midweek Mixers, Professional Development/Programs, Public Service, Publicity, Sponsorships, Web Site. Time commitments vary by committee. Mentorship

As part of our young professionals we are looking for PRSA Miami member who may be willing to serve as formal and informal mentors to newly graduated or young professionals. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please email president@prsamiami.org.

Guest Speakers

Our chapter is regularly contacted by student groups to provide speakers or panelists on topics relating to public relations and communications. This is a one-time commitment for a specific event. If you are interested in speaking at one of our events, please email president@prsamiami.org
